Our favorite pie for the holidays. Sometimes my son will also ask for this pie for his birthday. Since it is in October it works out great!

Ingredients

  • 1 - uncooked 9 in. pie pastry
  • 2 cups cooked pumpkin cooled (i steam ahead and freeze)
  • 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk or rich cream
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup raw sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger and nutmeg (each)
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 2 - eggs slightly beaten

How To Make pumpkin pie

  • Step 1
    Line pie pan with pastry.
  • Step 2
    preheat oven to 425 F.
  • Step 3
    mix together ingredients in a large bowl till well blended. Pour mixture into pie shell.
  • Step 4
    bake 15 min then reduce heat to 350 F. bake 45 min. more, or till knife comes out clean when inserted in the middle of the pie.
  • Step 5
    Serve warm with whip cream.
