This is from a cookbook called: 300 Years Of Carolina Cooking I have made this numerous times....a big requst!

Ingredients

  • 3 x large eggs, beaten
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup corn syrup, dark
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon maple extract
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 - unbaked pie shell
  • GARNISH:
  • - whipped cream, unsweetened

How To Make southern pecan pie

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Step 2
    In a medium bowl, combine first 7 ingredients; mix well.
  • Step 3
    Pour pecans into pie shell & spread evenly. Pour mixture over pecans. Bake 45 minutes or until not wiggling. Garnish with whipped cream.
