Ingredients

  • 1- 3 oz packages cream cheese
  • 1/2 C - butter
  • 1/4 C - sugar
  • 1 C - flour
  • 1 - egg
  • 3/4 C - brown sugar, packed
  • - dash salt
  • 1 T - softened butter
  • 3/4 tsp - vanilla
  • 3/4 C - broken walnuts or pecans

How To Make pecan tassies

  • Step 1
    Blend cheese, butter, sugar; stir in flour. Chill 1 hour or longer.
  • Step 2
    Shape into 1" balls (24). Place into small lightly greased muffin tins; press dough against bottom and sides.
  • Step 3
    Beat egg with brown sugar, butter, vanilla and salt just until smooth. Sprinkle 1/2 the nuts in tins; add egg mixture, then remaining nuts.
  • Step 4
    Bake at 325 for 25 minutes. Cool before removing from tins.
