I always get asked to make these so I guess people like it. You can use light corn syrup if you like. You may also choose to chop your pecans. I think dark corn syrup and pecan halves give it more taste.

Ingredients For pecan pie

  • 1 c
    dark corn syrup
  • 3
    eggs
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c
    pecan halves
  • 1
    (9 inch) unbaked deep dish pie crust

How To Make pecan pie

  • 1
    Stir first 5 ingredients thoroughly with a spoon.
  • 2
    Mix in pecans and pour into pie crust.
  • 3
    Bake on center rack for 60 to 70 minutes.
  • 4
    Cool for 2 hours.
