pecan pie
Although I am not typically a pecan pie baker, my husband loves pecan pie. I went back through my mother's old recipes and found this one. It was one of my dad's favorites, and my hubby loves it too!

Ingredients
- 1 cup pecans (pieces or halves)
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup karo syrup (white)
- 3/4 stick butter
- 1 pie crust shell (deep dish)
How To Make pecan pie

Step 1Brown butter in a skillet.

Step 2Combine sugar, eggs and syrup in a bowl. Beat in eggs well.

Step 3Place pecans on the bottom of pie shell.

Step 4Add browned butter to sugar mixture, and stir well.

Step 5Pour sugar mixture over pecans.

Step 6Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until it is completely set.
