How to Make Pecan Pie
- Begin by melting the butter- Do Not Burn! While it is still hot, put in small mixing bowl and add syrup and sugar.
- Mix with a wire whip until smooth (until sugar had dissolved).
- Add the eggs and vanilla and whip for about two minutes
- Pour this mixture into the pie shell and top with pecan halves
- Bake at 325° for 50 to 55 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean
- Cool in refrigerator before serving. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
