A holiday tradition with our family and the most requested recipe I make.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup dark corn syrup
  • 3 - large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 - (9 inch) deep dish pie shell, unbaked

How To Make pecan pie

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Step 2
    Add all ingredients together in a mixing bowl and stir lightly just until blended with a wooden spoon.
  • Step 3
    Pour into pie shell and bake for 10 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake for 25 minutes or until set.
  • Step 5
    Cool on wire rack for 2 hours before serving.
