My mother passed away at a young age. Making this pecan pie bring some fond memories of learning to cook in her kitchen with her. She blessed me in so many ways.

Ingredients

PECAN FILLING

1/4 c
softened butter
1/2 c
sugar
3
eggs
1 c
karo light corn syrup
1/4 tsp
salt
1 c
pecan halves

CRUST RECIPE

1 1/3 c
flour
1/2 tsp
salt
1/2 c
crisco shortening
3 Tbsp
cold water

How to Make Pecan Pie

Step-by-Step

  • 1Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add syrup and salt beating well after. Add eggs one at a time and beating well after each egg. Stir in pecans. Pour into a prepared 9" pie crust or make your own.
  • 2Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes or until crust is golden brown and filling is set. Cool before serving
