My mother passed away at a young age. Making this pecan pie bring some fond memories of learning to cook in her kitchen with her. She blessed me in so many ways.

Ingredients
- PECAN FILLING
- 1/4 cup softened butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 - eggs
- 1 cup karo light corn syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup pecan halves
- CRUST RECIPE
- 1 1/3 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup crisco shortening
- 3 tablespoons cold water
How To Make pecan pie

Step 1Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add syrup and salt beating well after. Add eggs one at a time and beating well after each egg. Stir in pecans. Pour into a prepared 9" pie crust or make your own.

Step 2Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes or until crust is golden brown and filling is set. Cool before serving
