My mother passed away at a young age. Making this pecan pie bring some fond memories of learning to cook in her kitchen with her. She blessed me in so many ways.

Ingredients

  • PECAN FILLING
  • 1/4 cup softened butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 - eggs
  • 1 cup karo light corn syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • CRUST RECIPE
  • 1 1/3 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup crisco shortening
  • 3 tablespoons cold water

How To Make pecan pie

  • Step 1
    Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add syrup and salt beating well after. Add eggs one at a time and beating well after each egg. Stir in pecans. Pour into a prepared 9" pie crust or make your own.
  • Step 2
    Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes or until crust is golden brown and filling is set. Cool before serving
