My mother passed away at a young age. Making this pecan pie bring some fond memories of learning to cook in her kitchen with her. She blessed me in so many ways.

Ingredients
- 1/4 c
- softened butter
- 1/2 c
- sugar
- 3
- eggs
- 1 c
- karo light corn syrup
- 1/4 tsp
- salt
- 1 c
- pecan halves
- 1 1/3 c
- flour
- 1/2 tsp
- salt
- 1/2 c
- crisco shortening
- 3 Tbsp
- cold water

How to Make Pecan Pie
- 1Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add syrup and salt beating well after. Add eggs one at a time and beating well after each egg. Stir in pecans. Pour into a prepared 9" pie crust or make your own.
- 2Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes or until crust is golden brown and filling is set. Cool before serving
