I have been making this for along time got it from a co-worker when I worked at Kresge's 41 yrs ago. At first it didn't come out right an no one would eat it except one of my brothers. and me of course. Since I figure out what I did wrong the first time my brother loves it. and every Thanksgiving, Christmas he asks me to make it just for him.

Ingredients
- 1 cup karo syrup
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons margarine
- 2 tablespoons white corn meal
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup pecans, halved, or chopped
- 1 - 8-9 inch pie shell
How To Make pecan pie

Step 1Heat oven to 350.

Step 2Mix all ingredients together except the nuts. Put the pecans into the pie shell and pour the mixture over the top of them. Note. the cornmeal is what holds the center together (this is what I was told from my co-worker when I ask about it)

Step 3Bake for 45 - 1HR. Let cool about 1 hr out and them place in refrigator.
