This recipe was given to me by the Postmistress of Niland, Cal. I have never tried it but she said it was her favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pecans halves or chopped coarsely
  • 3 - eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar you can use white or brown
  • 1 cup light or dark corn syrup
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make pecan pie

  • Step 1
    Prepare a pie with 1 bottom crust
  • Step 2
    Beat eggs, add the sugar and syrup mix well then add salt and vanilla and last the melted butter or margarine.
  • Step 3
    Place the pecans in the bottom of the unbaked pie crust. Pour in the filling and bake at 350* for 50-60 min. The nuts rise to the top of the filling and form a crusted layer. Eat and enjoy
