I recently had this decadent pie at a friend's house. It was delightful and fairly easy to make. ENJOY!

Ingredients

  • 10 - inch unbaked pie shell
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 - eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped coarsely
  • 1 cup karo syrup
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon maple flavoring

  • Step 1
    Beat together cream cheese, sugar, 1 egg, and vanilla. Spread over bottom of unbaked pie shell. Sprinkle pecans even over cream cheese layer. Topping: 3 eggs, maple flavoring, sugar, and corn syrup. Combine all topping ingredients and beat until smooth. Pour over pecan layer. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 - 45 minutes or until pecan layer is golden brown. Serve slightly warm with whipped cream, if desired. 12 servings.
