I love baking or cooking with fresh fruit. It is a family favorite any time of the year. I have to make lots when my brothers are home.

Ingredients

  • 5 cups pears, peeled& sliced
  • 11/2 cups cranberries,fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons orange peel, grated
  • 1 cup quick cooking oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • - coolwhip, thawed

How To Make peary cranberry crispy

  • Step 1
    First pre-heat the oven to 375F. Then spray a 12x8 inch (2 quart) glass baking dih with cooking spray. Then in a large bowl toss the pears, cranberries, sugar, 2 Tsbp. flour & orange peel to coat.Then spoon into the baking dish.
  • Step 2
    Next in a small bowl mix the oats,brown sugar & 1/3 cup flour with a fork. Then cut in the buteruntil mixture is crumbly. Then stir in the nuts. Sprinkle evenly over the fruit mixture.
  • Step 3
    Then bake for about 30 to 40 mins or until golden brown & fruit is tender. Let cool for about 30 mins before serving. Best served warm with COOL WHIP.
