Ingredients For peanut butter pie

  • CRUST:
  • 1
    prepared chocolate cookie pie crust
  • FILLING:
  • 1 stick
    salted butter, softened (1/2 cup)
  • 1 jar
    peanut butter, creamy (16 oz.)
  • 1 1/4 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • TOPPING:
  • 1 1/2 c
    semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 c
    whipping cream

How To Make peanut butter pie

    Beat butter until creamy.
  • 2
    Add peanut butter; beat until well combined.
  • 3
    Stir in the powdered sugar, vanilla and salt; beat until well combined and smooth.

    Pour mixture into chocolate cookie crust, smoothing out to the side.

    Place in freezer while preparing fudge topping.

    Over medium heat, bring cream to a slight simmer; remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips. Allow to rest 5 minutes, then stir until chocolate is melted and smooth (may return to very low heat, if necessary.)

    Remove pie from freezer. Pour chocolate over pie, smoothing out to the edge.

    Refrigerate for a minimum of 1 hour before serving (2 hours is better.) Refrigerate leftover.
