peanut butter crumble topped apple pie
I made this pie today for our desert. I love apples dipped in peanut butter so why not try this. It smelled wonderful while it was baking. I found this recipe in my Hershey's Desert Cookbook.

Ingredients
- 1 - 8 ounce container sour cream
- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 3/4 cup flour divided
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups peeled and thinly sliced apples
- 1 - unbaked 9 inch pie crust
- 1 cup quick-cooking or rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon butter or margrine softened

Step 1Heat oven to 350 degrees

Step 2Blend sour cream,1/2 cup brown sugar, eggs, 2 tablespoon flour, vanilla, lemon juice, and salt in a large bowl with a whisk. Add apples and stir until well coated. Spoon into pie crust.

Step 3Stir together oats, remaining 3/4 cup flour, remaining 1/4 cup brown sugar, and cinnamon. Place butter and peanut butter in a microwaveable bowl on high 30 seconds or until butter is melted. Add to oat mixture; blend until crumbs are formed. Sprinkle crumb mixture over apples.

Step 4Bake 55-60 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown. Cool completely and store left over pie in refrigerate leftovers.
