It's sweet and the touch of cinnamon enhances all of the flavors. The crumble layer on top bakes to a perfect sugary crust. Sprinkling pecans over the topping adds a little added crunch and nuttiness. Top with a scoop of ice cream for a heavenly summertime dessert.

Ingredients
- 8 medium ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated white sugar
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- CRUMBLE TOPPING
- 3 tablespoons cold butter, cut into small pieces
- 1/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/3 cup chopped pecans or walnuts, optional
- 1 - single layer pie shell, I use frozen 9-inch deep dish

Definitely use the foil-lined baking sheet like recommended. Our pie did bubble over a little.

Step 1Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking pan with foil.

Step 2Peel, pit, and slice the peaches into a large bowl.

Step 3Top the peaches with the filling ingredients.

Step 4Mix together well.

Step 5Pour peach mixture into a prepared pie shell. Place on foil-lined baking sheet.

Step 6Add the topping mixture, except for nuts, to a small bowl.

Step 7With a fork, cut into the butter until pea size.

Step 8Sprinkle topping evenly over peaches. Add the nuts to the topping last.

Step 9Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes until peaches are bubbling and topping is browned. Cool on a rack.
