peach cobbler pie

This was originally given to me by a friend that made this pie with apples. I decided to give it a try with peaches. I top the pie off with homemade french vanilla whipped cream and a pinch of nutmeg

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons all purpose flour (you can use self rising flour)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 - egg
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract (i use vanilla nut by watkins)
  • 2 - regular pie crust shell or 1 deep dish shell
  • 2 cans peach slices drained and divided

How To Make peach cobbler pie

  • Step 1
    Pre-Heat the oven to 325 degrees. Put even amounts of the drained peach slices in the uncooked pie crusts
  • Step 2
    Combine all the dry ingredients together (Sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg)
  • Step 3
    whisk the cream, egg and vanilla. Add the dry ingredients whisking constantly until mixed
  • Step 4
    pour half of the mixture into each pie crusts. The mixture wont completely cover the peaches but it will rise during the cooking process.
  • Step 5
    Cook the pies at 325 for 1 hr or until the middle of the pie is set.
