I found this recipe in an old 'Favorite Brand Name' cookbook and it sounds yummy.

Ingredients

  • 3 - eggs
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon grated orange peel
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups pecans, halved
  • 1 - 9 inch unbaked pie shell
  • - whipped cream (optional)

How To Make orange pecan pie

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl, beat eggs. Add molasses, corn syrup, orange juice, orange peel and vanilla; beat until well blended. Stir in pecans. I like to run the pecans through a nut mill when I make pecan pies because it makes a wonderful crunchy top - it is good either way - with pecan halves or the chopped pecans.

    Bake 30 - 45 minutes or until filling sets. Cool on a wire rack. Serve with whipped cream if desired.
