I found this recipe in an old 'Favorite Brand Name' cookbook and it sounds yummy.

    light corn syrup
  • 1/4 c
    orange juice
  • 1 tsp
    grated orange peel
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 1/2 c
    pecans, halved
  • 1
    9 inch unbaked pie shell
  • ·
    whipped cream (optional)

How to Make Orange Pecan Pie


  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, beat eggs. Add molasses, corn syrup, orange juice, orange peel and vanilla; beat until well blended. Stir in pecans. I like to run the pecans through a nut mill when I make pecan pies because it makes a wonderful crunchy top - it is good either way - with pecan halves or the chopped pecans.
  3. Bake 30 - 45 minutes or until filling sets. Cool on a wire rack. Serve with whipped cream if desired.
  4. Enjoy!
