This is my girl friends family recipe, Very simple yet VERY GOOD!

Ingredients

  • 1
    pie crust shell
  • 1/3 c
    sugar
  • 3 Tbsp
    flour
  • 2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    powdered ginger
  • 1/2 tsp
    allspice, ground
  • 3/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1/4 c
    light molasses
  • 16 oz
    pumpkin, canned or cooked

How to Make OLD FASHIONED PUMPKIN PIE

Step-by-Step

  1. Pre-heat oven to 450 degrees.
    Line 9 inch pie plate with pastry.
  2. Combine sugar, flour, spices and salt.
    Blend milk, eggs, molasses and pumpkin; stir into dry ingredients. Taste for spices, to see if you want more.
    Pour into pastry lined pie plate.
  3. Bake in preheated 450 degree oven for 10 min. Turn oven down to 350 degrees and bake for about 50 mins. or until set in center.
  4. Pie will crack as it cools. You can reduce cracking by placing waxed paper atop, after pie is partly cooled.
