·any pie crust recipe enough for bottom and top crust
3 stickbutter or margarine
1 capple cider vinegar
1/2 cbrown sugar
How to Make Old Fashioned Butter Roll
- Roll out dough made from your favorite pie crust recipe into a large circle. Sprinkle both sugars and spices on top of rolled out dough. Cut butter in pieces on top of dough and sugars. Roll dough up as if making cinnamon rolls or a jelly roll. Place in a greased pie pan. Pour apple cider vinegar on top of rolled up dough and let sit for 5 to 6 minutes. Cut a few more pieces of butter on top and also sprinkle some sugar on top also. Let bake about 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown. Please test for doneness.
