This southern recipe has been in my family for generations. The holidays would not be complete without it. This recipe is easy to make, and delicious everytime

Ingredients
- 1 large cold unbaked pie crust, store bought or homemade
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup karo dark syrup
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 cups crushed pecans
- 3 large eggs, beaten
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 stick butter (not margarine)
How To Make old fashion pecan pie

Step 1in a medium saucepan, boil sugar, Karo syrup, and salt until it is rumbling softly and clear. Remove from heat

Step 2Add butter and stir. Mix in crushed pecans. Beat in 3 beaten eggs and vanilla.

Step 3Pour into pie shell and bake at 350 degrees approximately 1 hour, until the top puffs up and cracks. Cool to room temperature
