oatmeal pie

I stumbled across the recipe in one of my many cookbooks in my collection. I made this and my mother and father almost died when I told them that it was Oatmeal...they enjoyed it. It is a good pie for people allergic to nuts-because you can't taste it, anyways and it looks like Pecan.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1 stick butter or margarine, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3/4 cup light corn syrup
- 3/4 cup instant oatmeal
- 1 cup coconut
- 1 - 9 inch pie crust, unbaked
How To Make oatmeal pie

Step 1Mix white and brown sugar, set aside. Melt butter, add corn syrup, milk, beaten eggs, vanilla, oatmeal, and coconut. Stir well. Add to sugars and pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 400 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
