This is a delicious rich and easy to make pie. I make this when I want to make a quick and easy dessert that everyone loves. Never lasts more than 2 days at my house!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    cocoa powder
  • 1/3 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 2 1/2 c
    whole milk
  • 4
    egg yolks, lightly beaten
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1
    9 inch prepared pie crust, baked
  • ·
    whipped cream, sweetened (if desired)

How to Make No Fail Rich Chocolate Pie

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large saucepan combine cocoa, flour, and sugar. Add milk and egg yolks. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil. Cook until thick, approximately 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Pour into baked pie crust. Cool completely before cutting. Serve with real whipped cream for a real treat!
