In the 1980's I listened to Jackie Olden's cook show on the radio, this was one of her recipes I tried and have been making it ever since. It is no fail, always tender and flaky.People who say they can't make pie crust make this recipe and it's always flaky. And it tastes good! The original recipe calls for vegetable shortening,I use half butter, half margarine.
