New and Improved Pecan Pie
CREAM CHEESE LAYER:
cream cheese, softened
unbaked deep dish pie shell
2Combine eggs, sugar, corn syrup and vanilla in a medium bowl then set this topping aside. This will be the top layer.
3In a separate medium bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, salt, vanilla and egg until smooth. Pour the cream cheese mixture into the pie shell and smooth the top.
4Sprinkle the pecans evenly over the cream cheese mixture.
5Pour topping from Step 2 over the pecans and bake for 45 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature
