One time I said that the only pie crust I ever had success with came ready made from the store. Hearing this my niece gave me this recipe and I must admit that it did not fail me.

1 Tbsp
white vinegar

How to Make Never Fail Pie Crust

Step-by-Step

  • 1Cut shortening into flour and salt. Combine egg, water and vinegar. Pour liquid into flour mixture all at once. Blend with spoon just until flour is all moistened.
  • 2This is an easy crust to work with and can be re-rolled without toughening. It can be kept in refrigerator without spoiling up to 2 weeks.
