In a large bowl beat the first ingredients until small peaks form. making sure not to over beat egg whites. In a saucepan on low heat mix together the next 2 ingredients until it becomes thick. Then take off the heat & let cool. After it has cooled add in the gelatin, water & mix together. Then add into the bowl with the egg whites mix. Then add in the nuts. Fold well making sure not to over mix or eggs whites will fall. Then take the shortbread cookies & crushed them up & press them into a pie pan. Place in the pie crust & let sit in the refrigerator for about 4 hours. You may use raw shortbread cookie dough for this. Just roll it out press it into a pie pan & bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
