My Grandmother (Nana) made this pie and is the best ever. She lived with 8 or 10 pecan trees in her yard. She never cook with a recipe but my mother tooked some of her recipes down.

    brown karo suryp
  • 1 c
    white surgar
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter or oleo
  • pinch
  • 2
    eggs beaten
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla ( no imatation)
  • 1 c
    broken pecans

How to Make Nana's Pecan Pie


  1. Preheat oven 375
    Beat eggs with surgar & salt.
    Add rest of ingredients.
    Pour into unbaked pieshell.
  2. Bake in 375 oven for 30 minutes. Turn over temp down to 300 and bake for 30 more minutes.

    Note: Nana would put pecan halves on top before she baked the pie.
