I named this pie because of the simplicity and the true flavor of the berries is not disguised..You can add the extra whip ect..but it stands on it's own very well

How to Make Naked Strawberry pie

Step-by-Step

  1. Clean and rinse fresh berries ..Chop about 8 strawberries into a saucepan add water and bring to a boil..mashing the berries as they soften
  2. Mix the sugar with the corn starch and add to hot berry water and stir while it thickens..let it cool.
  3. bake a prepared pie shell as directed or make your own....cool...reserving some of the berries for the top..slice others in half to form a base in the bottom of the pie shell...add the cooled berry mixture..add the whole berries to the top and cool in frige to set up..
