This is a delicious chocolate pie that I remember my mother making from the time I could remember such things. I'm sure she made up the recipe herself.

Ingredients
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 cups milk
- 7 tablespoons cocoa, unsweetened
- 5 tablespoons sifted all-purpose flour
- 3 - egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 - baked pie crust
How To Make my mother's chocolate pie

Step 1Cook sugar, salt, milk, cocoa, flour, and egg yolks in double boiler until thick.

Step 2Add vanilla and butter. Pour into baked pie crust.

Step 3Most of the time, Mother made a meringue from the egg whites and browned the pie in the oven. Later in life, she used either real whipped cream or Cool Whip instead, and I liked that just as much. Easier!
