How to Make My Mom's Chocolate Pie
1Mix sugar, cocoa, cornstarch, and salt together well. Add evaporated milk to dry ingredients and mix well.
2Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
3Cook over medium heat until bubbly and thickened.
Pour into the 2 baked pie crusts.
4Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until foamy. Add the sugar and beat until stiff. Spread meringue over filling.
5Brown in a 450 degree oven. Cool before serving.
