We stopped at a little cafe in PA for lunch and we just had to have a piece of pie,they were so pretty ... (Lemon Meringue & Apple). Wonderful pie with the BEST crust I ever had! I usually leave the bottom crust on the plate.Not this time. I asked the waitress if they made their own pies or had them made ... she said "Oh,I make all our pies!" I told her the crust was the Best! She went over and wrote it down and gave it to me ... I have never been able to make pie crust! I do now ... this one is so easy and Wonderful ... I did this in 6 steps to explain fully, this is a Fast and Easy recipe!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons crisco
  • 2 tablespoons butter, cold
  • - ice water

How To Make my best pie crust

  • Step 1
    1~ Combine Crisco and Butter with a fork 2~ Combine and mix flour and salt
  • Step 2
    3~ Combine two mixtures and work together until crumbly, 4~ start adding ice water 1 tablespoon at a time ... work until dough forms a soft ball (doesn't take long) 5~ Refrigerate for 5 mins.
  • Step 3
    6~ Remove from fridge and roll out on floured surface Make your pie!
