Ingredients

  • 12 medium
    apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1/2 c
    white sugar
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 1 tsp
    apple pie spice
  • 1 tsp
    allspice, ground
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 stick
    butter, cut into cubes
  • 1
double pie crusts, for top and bottom of pie
  • ·
mixture of cinnamon/sugar to sprinkle on top of pie

How to Make My Apple Pie

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat your oven to 350. In a large bowl prep your apples and then pour lemon juice over them. I mix the rest of the ingredients in a separate bowl and with a pastry blender I blend the mixture until butter is mixed in well.
  2. Pour this mixture in to your apples and blend well. Pour and pack the apples into a pie crust lined 9 inch pie plate. Place 2nd pie crust over apples and make slits in the crust to let steam release while cooking. Sprinkle a little cinnamon/sugar mixture over top crust.(optional)
  3. Bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes or until golden and apples tender. Remove and let it rest to cool, then enjoy.
