As a kid we always loved visiting my grandmother in the summer. It never failed...this dish was always in the freezer. Once we all arrived....it never lasted long :-)

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg
    Oreos
  • 1 stick
    Butter
  • 1/2 gal
    Vanilla Ice Cream
  • 1 can(s)
    Chocolate Syrup
  • 1 large
    Container of Coolwhip
  • ·
    Almonds or Walnuts (optional)

How to Make Mud Pie

Step-by-Step

  1. Melt 1 stick of butter and mix with oreos.
  2. Press oreo mixture into large pan (at least 9x13).
  3. Cover with 1/2 gallon softened vanilla ice cream.
  4. Pour 1 cn chocolate syrup over ice cream.
  5. Spread large container of soft coolwhip over syrup.
  6. Sprinkle with almonds or walnuts (optional).
  7. Freeze for 4 hours before serving.
