As a kid we always loved visiting my grandmother in the summer. It never failed...this dish was always in the freezer. Once we all arrived....it never lasted long :-)

Ingredients

1 package Oreos
1 stick Butter
1/2 gallon Vanilla Ice Cream
1 can Chocolate Syrup
1 large Container of Coolwhip
- Almonds or Walnuts (optional)

How To Make mud pie

Step 1

Melt 1 stick of butter and mix with oreos.

Step 2

Press oreo mixture into large pan (at least 9x13).
Step 3

Cover with 1/2 gallon softened vanilla ice cream.
Step 4

Pour 1 cn chocolate syrup over ice cream.
Step 5

Spread large container of soft coolwhip over syrup.
Step 6

Sprinkle with almonds or walnuts (optional).
Step 7

Freeze for 4 hours before serving.
