How to Make Mrs. D's Pie Crust
- 1Combine flour and salt. Cut lard into flour/salt mixture until pea size pieces form.
- 2Take one egg yolk and beat in a cup. Fill cup with cold water and mix well. Add to flour mixture. It might take 1 or 2 tablespoons more water to get it all mixed. Make into 1 large ball and divide into 7 smaller balls. Flatten each ball and wrap in plastic wrap and then put in freezer bag.
- 3When needed, thaw crust and roll out for pie.
