MRS. AVER'S DATE WALNUT PIE

Ingredients

1/2 csugar

1 ccorn syrup

1/4 tspsalt

1 Tbspall purpose flour

2eggs
-
1 Tbspmelted butter
-
1 tspvanilla
-
1 1/4 cchopped walnuts
-
1 pkg(7 oz.) pitted dates

1unbaked 9" pastry shell
How to Make MRS. AVER'S DATE WALNUT PIE
- In a large bowl, beat together sugar, syrup, salt, flour, and eggs. Mix well. Add melted butter, vanilla, nuts and dates (cut in pieces).
- Pour into shell and bake for 10 minutes at 450 degrees. Then lower oven temperature to 300 degrees and continue baking for another 50 minutes, or until filling is set.
