This was my mom's recipe for a single crust. Use for any pies requiring a crust. Double if needed.

How to Make Mom's pie crust (Single crust)

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix all ingredients until crumbly - add water until able to roll out. Do not make too sticky or it will not roll out easily.
  2. Mom used bacon grease for a very flaky crust that tasted like heaven, instead of shortening.
  3. This is a single crust. Double recipe to make the top and bottom of a apple pie crust. This crust is the best. Follow pie recipe for the length of time in oven and temperature.
