Ingredients
- 1 stick melted butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon cornmeal (scant)
- 5 - eggs
- 1 - unbaked pie shell
How To Make mom's chess pie

Step 1Preheat oven to 325.

Step 2Mix melted butter with sugar.

Step 3Add lemon juice and cornmeal to the butter/sugar mixture.

Step 4Beat eggs separately.

Step 5Combine butter/sugar mixture and beaten eggs. Mix thoroughly, but with a very light hand.

Step 6Pour into unbaked pie shell.

Step 7Bake 45-50 minutes at 325. The pie is done when it is puffed up and firm in the center.
