This one is a bit different...enjoy!!! THE PIC IS OF MY 1958 PECAN PIE (that's already posted)...I DIDN'T TAKE A PIC OF THIS PIE, WILL NEXT TIME....and most of the time I do not chop the pecans.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cane syrup
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 3 - eggs (beaten)
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • - grated rind from 1/2 a lemon

How To Make mississippi pecan pie...cin

  • Step 1
    Cook sugar, syrup and butter while eggs are being beaten. Beat eggs in syrup slowly, add (fold in) nuts and lemon rind. Pour in unbaked pastry. Bake in moderate oven (around 325° to 350°) until firm.
