Can't remember where I got this recipe but the best part is this meringue does not get "weepy."

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 3 or 4 - egg whites, room temp
- 1 dash salt
How To Make miracle meringue

Step 1Combine water, sugar and cornstarch in a small saucepan. Stir well. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until thickened and transparent.

Step 2Beat egg whites and salt until foamy. Continue beating while gradually adding cooked mixture. Beat 3 minutes until stiff (not dry) peaks form. Do not overbeat.

Step 3Spread over pie-sealing edges. Bake at 425 degrees for 5-7 minutes or until lightly browned.
