Grandma Jennie - this was always a favorite pie for our family

Ingredients

2 lb
cooked beef (ground)

ADD

4 1/2 lb
peeled and chopped apples
1/2 lb
suet
1 1/2 lb
raisins
1 1/2 lb
currants
2 Tbsp
nutmeg
2 Tbsp
salt
1 Tbsp
scant, cloves
3 1/2 lb
sugar
3 Tbsp
cinnamon
1/2 tsp
allspice, ground

Step-By-Step

1Put together and add 1 cup meat broth and 1 1/2 cup vinegar. Cook until done.
2Can and seal or freeze.
3After thawing; for a pie add 1-2 cups applesauce depending on its size.
