Incredible combination of pumpkin, maple and warm spices makes this the best pie I have ever made and the whole house smells so good while it's baking!

Ingredients

single pie crust, preferably homemade, fitted into a 9"pie plate and left unbaked

large eggs

15 oz can pure pumpkin puree

cup heavy cream
1/2
cup good pure maple syrup
3/4
tsp ground cinnamon
1/2
tsp gound ginger
1/2
tsp kosher salt
1/8
tsp gound cloves
whipped cream, for serving

Step-By-Step

1Set oven rack to the lowest position and heat oven to 350 degrees
2Place the pie plate on a foil-lined baking sheet
3Roll out pie dough to fit into 9" pan
4In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, pumpkin, cream, maple syrup and spices
5Pour mixture into the unbaked crust and bake until the center is set, approximately 60-70 minutes
6Let cool to room temperature before serving with a dollop of whipped cream
