Ingredients
- 5 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 1/2 cups shortening
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 cup water when added to egg and vinegar to measure 1 cup total
How To Make mama's pie crust

Step 1Cut shortening into flour, salt and baking powder. Mix until crumbly and about the size of a pea. Pour water, vinegar and egg into mixture. Mix. chill and let rest before rolling out for pie crusts.

Step 2Brush top of crust with 1 egg and 2 T of water whipped with fork.

Step 3Bake at 420* for 30 minutes. or time for pie to cook. shells bake about 10 minutes, watch. xoxo
