Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 2 lg - eggs
- 1 stick melted butter, unsalted
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 9in. - unbaked pie shell chilled
How To Make mama's buttermilk pie

Step 1In a bowl thoroughly combine sugar,flour,and eggs.Add melted butter,and buttermilk,stir til well mixed.Stir in vanilla.Pour mixture into chilled pie shell and bake at 425* for 10 mins.Without opening oven door,lower oven temp to 350* and bake for 35 mins. more.It's important to keep oven door closed.Then transfer the pie to wire rack to cool to room temp.

Step 2You want the top of the pie to be between golden and lightly carmalish in color.
