This is easy and a great way to make a type of cherry pie even if you are not a pie maker. The crust will make itself on top.

  • 1 c
    sifted flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 3/4 c
  • 3/4 c
  • 1/2 c
    margerine, melted
  • 1/2 c
  • 1 can(s)
    (no. 2 can) sour cherries

How to Make Magic Cherry Pie


  1. Drain juice from cherries into measuring cup. Add enough water to fill cup. Place into sauce pan and heat.
  2. Sift flour, salt, baking powder and 3/4 cup sugar into mixing bowl.; add milk and margerine. Mix lightly until smooth.
  3. Pour batter into greased 2 quart casserole. Drop drained cherries over it; sprinkly 1/2 cup sugar over them. Pour boiling cherry juice over all and bake at 350 about 1 hour. Crust will be on top.
