This was always a favorite of mine, and it seems I never get it right so it can be served in pieces...the flavor is there anyway, lol, and reminds me of my mom. It always makes me smile.

strawberries, sliced

cool whip (i used cool whip lite)

How To Make madeleine's fresh strawberry pie

Mix sugar and cornstarch, add water and cook until thick and clear. Add jello. Coat the bottom of the pie shell with glaze, add sliced berries and top off with remaining glaze. Serve with cool whip.
