madeleine's cherry cream cheese pie
Mom was a fantastic cook, and this is one of her recipes. I personally don't like cherry, so tend to substitute strawberry pie filling. I imagine you could put any flavor pie filling you would like into this wonderful recipe!

Ingredients
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 1/2 pounds cream cheese
- 6 - eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons vanilla
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 pint sour cream
- 5 tablespoons sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 - large can cherry pie filling
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon almond extract

Step 1In a 9x13 pan combine 1st 3 ingredients and pat into the bottom. Bake at 300 degrees 10 minutes. Cream cheese, add 1 egg at a time and beat after each addition. Add 1 cup sugar gradually and the next two ingredients. Beat until well mixed and pour slowly over graham crackers. Bake 35-40 minutes, remove from oven. Cream together sour cream and next two ingredients and pour over the top, cook 5 minutes then cool and chill. Blend all remaining ingredients and pour over sour cream mixture. Refrigerate.
