I found this gem in an 1980's cookbook!

Ingredients

  • 1 package lemon pudding(not instant)
  • 1 package lime jello
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 2 - eggs slightly beaten
  • 1 3/4 cups cool whip
  • 1 - graham cracker pie crust
  • - cool whip, and lime slices for garnish

How To Make lime pie

  • Step 1
    Combine pudding, jello and sugar; in a med. sized sauce pan, stir in 1/2 cup of the water, add the eggs, Blend well.
  • Step 2
    Add the remaining water, cook and stir over med. heat until mixture comes to a full boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and chill.
  • Step 3
    Blend topping into chilled mixture. Spoon into pie crust and chill until firm. Garnish with cool-whip and fresh lime slices. Enjoy!
