This recipe was passed down from a family member.It has lemon pudding, cool whip ,and a nutty crust that melts in your mouth. My friends and my neighbors love it.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 stick margarine,softened
  • 1/2 cup nuts,chopped fine
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 8 ounces cool whip
  • 2 packages instant lemon pudding mix
  • 21/2 cups milk

How To Make lemon torte

  • Step 1
    Mix together flour, margarine and 1/4 cup nuts.Press into 9 by 13 inch pan.Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees .Cool
  • Step 2
    Add 1/2 carton Cool Whip to cream cheese and confectioner's sugar and combine.
  • Step 3
    Spread this mixture over cooled crust.Prepare the 2 pkgs.( 4 oz.each) of instant pudding with 2 1/2 c. milk.
  • Step 4
    Put this over the cool whip layer.Spread remaining cool whip over the top and sprinkle with remaining nuts.Refrigerate for an hour before serving and store in the fridge.
