Momma's Lemon Pie recipe! AllI can say is YUM!

  • 3/4 c
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 3/4 c
    boiling water
  • 2
    eggs yolk, save whites for meringue
  • 1 tsp
  • 1
    lemon zest, grated
  • 3 Tbsp
    lemon juice

  • 4
    egg whites, stiffly beaten to form peaks
  • 1/2 c
  • 1
    pie crust shell, baked

How to Make Lemon Pie


  1. FOR PIE:
    Mix cornstarch,sugar and flour and pour boiling water over this. Stir and cook unil thick.
  2. Add egg yolks,butter, lemon juice and zest. Cook until egg thckens. Placed in as baked pie crust.
    Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
    Beat egg whites until they are stiff and form high peaks. Slowly add sugaar.Beat at medium speed for about 1 minute.
  4. Immediately spread meringue over pie, carefully sealing to edge of pastry to prevent shrinkage of meringue. Bake at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes until peaks are browned.
