My whole family loves this pie. I make two at a time.

Ingredients

  • 2 - eggs, separated
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar divided in half
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1 - graham cracker pie crust
  • 14 - vanilla wafers- optional

How To Make lemon meringue pie

  • Step 1
    By hand. Mix yolks, 1/4 c. sugar, lemon juice and condensed milk until smooth. Pour into pie crust & line outside with vanilla wafers.
  • Step 2
    Beat egg whites and add sugar slowly until stiff peaks form.
  • Step 3
    Pour onto pie and make sure to go all the way to the edges. (sealing the filling in)
  • Step 4
    Bake at 350 degrees until meringue is golden brown. Remove from stove and let cool completely before slicing.
